The PROMPT formula is a framework for writing effective lesson plans that allow an AI to generate consistent, high-quality eLearning scripts.
P - Persona
Assign a specific role to the AI. This frames the response from a particular expertise level.
Example: "Act as an expert instructional designer for Electronic Health Record training..."
R - Request (Learner Role)
Clearly state the role of the person being trained. This defines the audience.
Example: "...The learner is a non-clinical front desk associate..."
O - Objective (Topic & Goal)
Explain the specific workflow being taught and why it's important.
Example: "...The topic is 'Scheduling a New Patient Appointment.' The goal is to minimize scheduling errors..."
M - Medium (Format)
Specify the format for the script. This is crucial for structure.
Example: "...Generate the output in a five-column table with 'Step #', 'Narration', 'On-Screen Action', 'On Screen Graphics', and 'Developer Notes'..."
P - Parameters
Include any specific constraints, steps to cover, or other guiding details.
Example: "...ensure the total narration is under 90 seconds, avoid technical jargon, and include one multiple-choice knowledge check question at the end."
T - Tone
Indicate the desired style, voice, or emotional quality of the narration.
Example: "...The script should be concise and professional."
